This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the design, planning, execution, and oversight of program evaluation efforts for CDC public health initiatives.
• Formulate and enhance evaluation questions, logic models, performance metrics, indicators, and evaluation frameworks.
• Gather, structure, and analyze both quantitative and qualitative program data.
• Perform literature reviews, environmental assessments, and other research activities.
• Create data collection tools, interview guidelines, surveys, assessment instruments, and additional evaluation materials.
• Determine suitable evaluation methodologies, data sources, analytical strategies, and metrics.
• Evaluate program performance and results to determine effectiveness, efficiency, reach, and impact.
• Recognize trends, gaps, challenges, and opportunities based on evaluation results.
• Compile evaluation reports, technical memoranda, presentations, dashboards, briefing documents, and various other outputs.
• Convert intricate evaluation results into straightforward, actionable recommendations for program managers and leadership.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of program performance metrics and outcomes.
• Oversee evaluation milestones, deliverables, data collection tasks, and project timelines.
• Engage in stakeholder interviews, focus groups, working groups, and other evaluation-related activities.
• Collaborate with CDC staff, federal partners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure quality assurance and verification of evaluation data and analytical outputs.
• Formulate evaluation plans, implementation strategies, and other program documentation.
• Maintain organized records of evaluation methodologies, data sources, assumptions, findings, and recommendations.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives by utilizing evaluation findings to pinpoint opportunities for program enhancement.
• Execute other related tasks that support CDC program evaluation and public health initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, health services research, health administration, social sciences, statistics, evaluation science, or a comparable field.
• Over 3 years of pertinent professional experience in program evaluation, performance measurement, research, data analysis, public health initiatives, or a related area.
• Proficient in conducting quantitative and/or qualitative analyses.
• Skilled in collecting, organizing, and interpreting program or research data.
• Experienced in creating reports, presentations, briefings, and other analytical outputs.
• Familiarity with fundamental program evaluation concepts, methodologies, and performance measurement techniques.
• Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to synthesize complex information and relay findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adhere to set deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Position is dependent on contract award.
