Program Director – Grants Administration, EMR Modernization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of approximately $30 million allocated for EMR modernization, aiding more than 70 rural healthcare organizations across the state.

• Ensure that all funding-related activities adhere to relevant federal and state regulations while fulfilling project goals, upholding fiscal responsibility, and promoting statewide healthcare transformation.

• Act as the main authority for grants administration, funding oversight, compliance, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and risk management.

• Integrate executive program leadership with the strict requirements of federal grants management and healthcare transformation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in public administration, healthcare administration, business administration, public health, finance, information systems, or a similar field.

• A master’s degree is preferred.

• Proven expertise in federal grant administration, Uniform Guidance / 2 CFR 200, federal procurement standards, healthcare reimbursement, healthcare operations, EMR implementation, change management, organizational development, financial management, risk management, and performance improvement.

• Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), Grant Professional Certified (GPC), Healthcare Information and Management Systems certifications, or Lean / Six Sigma certification.

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing large federal grants, healthcare program administration, budget management, contract oversight, compliance supervision, and executive leadership.

• Significant experience managing large federally funded grants or cooperative agreements.

• Strongly preferred background with CMS-funded initiatives, rural healthcare, Electronic Medical Record implementation, Health Information Technology, digital health transformation, and managing multi-million-dollar grant portfolios.
