Program Director – Clinical Pharmacy Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the Pharmacy Clinical Programs with a programmatic and strategic focus.

• Work closely with the Executive Director and other pharmacy leaders to define the vision for clinical services.

• Plan and implement new clinical programs.

• Collaborate to standardize and enhance medication utilization.

• Lead regional committees such as Formulary/Pharmacy and Therapeutics and other related groups.

• Create and enforce policies, guidelines, and best practices associated with medication therapy.

• Manage the CAP pharmacoeconomic program to ensure cost-effective treatment options.

• Formulate strategies to address the impact of drug shortages.

• Maintain regular communication with providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) is required.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in planning and executing pharmacy programs.

• At least 10 years of experience in a hospital environment.

• Must hold a current Pharmacy license.

• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification is necessary.

• Preference for candidates with ASHP accredited PGY-1 or PGY-1 and PGY-2 Residencies.

• 5 years of experience in Oncology is preferred.

• Personal computer usage is approximately 75% of the time.

• Required to attend frequent meetings and walk to meeting locations as necessary.
