This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work in close collaboration with the Aviation Market Director and a dedicated national aviation team to achieve organizational goals.
• Spearhead the growth of key aviation planning and design services (both horizontal and vertical) by creating a pipeline of new and existing business opportunities across the US.
• Foster partnerships with other consultants in the aviation sector to secure and execute projects.
• Steer the development of the practice by leveraging emerging trends, technologies, policies, and funding sources that enhance our established reputation and relationships.
• Maintain a profile as a thought leader and Subject Matter Expert in the industry by delivering exceptional customer service to both existing and potential clients.
• Facilitate the appropriate level of collaboration between Project Managers and cross-functional technical teams.
• Oversee, monitor, and project metrics such as Backlog, Profit and Loss, Sales, Net Revenue, Utilization, Continuing Education, and Non-Billable Travel and Expenses for the Practice.
• Lead and support all shortlist presentations for prospective clients as appropriate and engage in contract negotiations with clients.
• Conduct quality reviews of project documentation from initial work plans to final deliverables.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10+ years of relevant experience in leading and developing Statewide Transportation Systems, Planning, and Design projects, preferably in the Aviation sector.
• Possession of a current Professional Engineering license is required.
• Expertise in Aviation or Airfield Planning/Design in one or more areas of current and emerging design and construction solutions, including: Airfield, Vertical, Airport Layout Plans, Master Plans, instrument approaches, site civil grading drainage and utilities, pavements, airfield lighting, navigational aids, facility planning studies, and site development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FAA Planning and Design Advisory Circulars, etc.
• Experience with public-private partnerships, Geographic Information Systems, and Asset Management is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong overall business acumen is essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic setting.
• Ability to quickly adapt to industry changes as well as internal initiatives.
