This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee the daily internal business and financial operations of various programs.
• Collaborate with the Program Management team to implement long-term financial goals and objectives.
• Engage daily with program managers, finance, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, procurement teams, and external clients.
• Complete required deliverables and mentor junior staff to ensure they meet the desired level of detail.
• Facilitate cash flow enhancement initiatives through detailed invoice backup documentation.
• Prepare and disseminate clear, relevant, and comprehensible financial information and analyses within set deadlines.
• Assist in the creation of Annual Operating Plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly Latest Revised Estimates, and Estimates at Complete.
• Take part in budgeting and spending plan development for assigned programs.
• Conduct financial analyses on funding profiles and variances in program finances.
• Execute cost, schedule, and contract performance variance analyses.
• Submit and manage purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials.
• Monitor subcontractor expenses and review/approve their invoices.
• Review and assist with Requests for Proposals; develop pricing models and perform cost analyses.
• Establish, maintain, and manage the Earned Value Management System baseline, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, and cost.
• Analyze cost and schedule performance, including CPI, SPI, variance trends, forecasts, and root-cause/corrective-action recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in providing financial tracking and support for government clients in areas such as Program Control, Finance, Cost Estimating, Financial Analysis, or Accounting.
• Proficient in processing and analyzing large datasets in Excel, consolidating them into management-level reports.
• Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations, and finance and accounting principles.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis, including ROS, ROC, annual operating plans, accounts receivable, and revenue & profit forecasts.
• Familiarity with program baseline data preparation, EAC development, and cost estimating/pricing.
• Ability to make informed decisions while adhering to policies, procedures, and accounting principles.
• Understanding of the entire program life cycle from proposal development to contract closure.
• Capacity to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term execution.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to perform effectively under competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects utilizing Earned Value Management and formal scheduling methods.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced skills in Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, with a commitment to follow-through.
• Competence in multitasking and efficiently supporting programs with accuracy.
