Portfolio Manager – ETRM, Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist in the selection, configuration, and implementation of the new ETRM system.

• Ensure comprehensive mapping of all front-to-back trading processes within the ETRM system.

• Oversee functional administration of the ETRM system.

• Manage master data, curve configurations, and system interfaces.

• Create quantitative analysis tools using Python for pricing, load forecasting, and risk evaluation.

• Streamline and automate processes.

• Conduct analysis of the German electricity and gas markets, focusing on both spot and futures trading.

• Develop strategies for effective portfolio management.

• Serve as the liaison to Sales, translating market trends into tradable products.

• Assist Sales in determining pricing for structured contracts.

• As a member of the Front Office, enhance resource allocation to maximize profitability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, economics, (business) mathematics, computer science, physics, or a similar field.

• Significant experience in European energy markets, particularly with a focus on Germany.

• Understanding of balancing energy, intraday trading, futures markets, and Guarantees of Origin.

• High-level proficiency in Python, especially with Pandas and NumPy.

• Advanced SQL skills.

• Ideally, experience with the implementation or administration of popular ETRM systems such as Belvis, Allegro, Endur, Brady, or similar platforms.

• Strong analytical skills and the capability to clearly communicate complex topics to Sales.

• Ability to maintain composure during volatile market conditions.

• Business-fluent in both German and English.
