This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Engage in the planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting for a variety of projects that differ in contract types, sizes, complexities, and risk profiles.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior technical personnel, contracts, finance, accounts receivable, procurement, and subcontract management teams.
• Provide comprehensive reports, analyze financial data that supports project cost and schedule status, and deliver presentations to managers and clients.
• Generate precise customer weekly and/or monthly status reports, which include burn rate and LOF data.
• Assist in the development of spend plans and financial evaluations, including the maintenance of Estimates at Completion (EACs).
• Contribute to annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and the latest monthly revised estimates.
• Examine and reconcile cash flow, profitability, invoicing, unbillables, and costs on hold.
• Submit and oversee purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials; track subcontractor expenses and review/approve invoices.
• Involve in new-business proposals, project projections, requirements analysis, and cost and management volumes.
• Assist with ad hoc programmatic requests.
• Partake in initiatives aimed at improving finance-related processes.
• Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years or more of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with one year of relevant experience.
• Preference for a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Knowledge of financial management principles.
• Strong analytical skills along with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with government contracting and contract types such as CPFF, FFP, and T&M is advantageous.
• Experience operating in a dynamic environment with multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Organizational skills to manage action items; must be self-motivated.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under supervision, and maintain persistence.
• Proficient in Microsoft tools including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.
• Preferred familiarity with CostPoint and Cognos Workspace Advanced.
