Professional SAP Technology Consultant – Security & Authorizations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist customers throughout ongoing SAP operations as well as transformation and innovation initiatives, emphasizing SAP authorizations and security.

• Ensure the reliable and secure functioning of SAP system landscapes as part of managed services.

• Support and manage SAP systems, encompassing ABAP, Java, and components related to the cloud.

• Analyze and resolve incidents and service requests within the SAP Basis and authorization environment.

• Create, modify, and optimize roles, profiles, and authorization concepts.

• Conduct troubleshooting and support efforts related to performance, security, and compliance initiatives.

• Assist with system copies, client copies, release upgrades, and technical migrations.

• Provide guidance to business departments and key users regarding authorization-related issues.

• Further develop and automate operational processes.

• Create and improve modern role and authorization concepts for SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation projects from conceptual design through to go-live.

• Analyze current authorization concepts and create future-ready target architectures.

• Implement security and authorization requirements in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud initiatives.

• Offer consulting services on SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Joule, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, and SAP Identity Services.

• Conduct compliance, audit, and segregation-of-duties (SoD) analyses.

• Collaborate with architecture, development, and business teams in the implementation of new SAP solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in business informatics, computer science, or a related field (university/university of applied sciences/vocational academy), or equivalent professional experience or vocational training.

• Several years of experience in SAP Basis and SAP operations.

• Experience in managing customer transitions and administering SAP systems.

• SAP-certified technology consultant.

• Strong knowledge of at least two of the following platforms: Windows, i5/OS (IBM i, AS/400), AIX, and Linux.

• In-depth expertise in HANA and at least one other database system (DB2, Oracle, ASE, MaxDB).

• Proficient in German and possess good written and spoken English skills.

• An independent, team-oriented, conscientious, and structured work approach.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes.

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for collaborating with colleagues, employees, and customers.
