This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Utilize ICS and personal networks to discover and secure potential partnerships.
• Foster the health and development of existing relationships across the state.
• Articulate the value of ICS when engaging with various stakeholders.
• Establish professional growth opportunities for schools, districts, and other educational institutions in Georgia and North Carolina.
• Maintain an extensive understanding of ICS content and professional development offerings.
• Become a proficient workshop presenter for ICS, exhibiting high professionalism, fluidity, technical skills, and engagement.
• Travel to in-person workshops and conferences, manage exhibition booths, and deliver ICS workshops at conferences.
• Act as the organization's authority on the K-12 educational landscape in Georgia and North Carolina, particularly concerning instruction about Jews, Judaism, and Jewish history.
• Keep the team informed of key legislative and policy changes that affect our work.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate insights regarding trends impacting our work or potential opportunities at the state and district levels to relevant departments.
• Attend and actively engage in regular meetings with the Director of Professional Learning, the Professional Learning team, the Editorial team, and all ICS staff meetings.
• Manage and contribute to occasional special projects or opportunities as assigned.
• Participate in and support the rollout of pilots and new initiatives, providing data to facilitate iteration and improvement of approaches to enhance our work.
• Maintain a list of statewide conferences and submit customized proposals for presentations.
• Promptly document relationship-building efforts and relevant professional development data in the ICS CRM.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in history/social studies, education, Jewish studies, English, or a related field.
• Experience within a K-12 educational environment (preferably as a social studies teacher or education administrator).
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and Zoom.
• Comfortable with CRM software or willing and able to quickly learn new software tools.
• Well-versed in relevant educational policies such as the Georgia K-12 Social Studies Standards and the North Carolina Social Studies Standards and Supports.
• An outstanding communicator and presenter, capable of leading engaging professional development workshops and sessions for diverse audiences.
• Able to navigate complex and potentially sensitive historical topics constructively in various settings.
• Highly organized, strategic, and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A proactive problem-solver and a collaborative team member.
• Highly adaptable, possessing a growth mindset, and open to giving and receiving feedback.
• Willing to travel for events and conferences.
