Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Accurately measure and document distances and angles on, above, or beneath the land surface, encompassing boundary points, ALTAs, topographical features, and other specified markers.

• Employ a range of modern surveying tools, manual recording techniques, computer-aided drafting applications, and databases to gather and document data from geological areas in accordance with project specifications.

• Investigate historical maps, land records, prior survey outcomes, and land title information as necessary to compare and validate current measurements and resolve boundary line inquiries.

• Generate reports and maps tailored to client or project specifications, incorporating information derived from field measurements, boundary markers, and topographical features.

• Develop two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional computer visualizations of property attributes, including boundary lines, geological points of interest, existing structures, water features, and utility lines.

• Adhere to established legal procedures to define official land and water boundaries for government entities, real estate developers, and private individuals to be utilized during property transactions, leases, and disputes.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction personnel as required during land development initiatives to validate geological and property boundary data and assist with building design as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying or civil engineering.

• Professional Land Surveying license.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and comprehension of mapping principles.

• Self-driven with effective time management skills and the capacity to work outdoors and walk as necessary.

• Proficient in computer drafting software.

• Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble GPS (preferred).
