Professional Fee Auditor, Educator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Professional Fee Auditor is tasked with conducting quality assurance evaluations on both internal and/or external professional coding specialists or external providers.

• This role may also encompass onboarding audits and the training of newly recruited e4health coding specialists.

• Responsibilities include ensuring that coding specialists accurately abstract data into the appropriate client electronic medical record systems, adhering to the Official ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Guidelines for Coding, AMA CPT Guidelines, Evaluation and Management Guidelines, and CMS directives.

• The Professional Fee Auditor plays an essential role in reporting quality outcomes, tracking and trending educational opportunities for coding specialists or providers,

• addressing client subject matter requirements, and delivering educational support and training to coders and/or providers.

• The Professional Fee Auditor is expected to maintain a consistent coding auditing accuracy rate of 95% or above while also achieving agreed-upon productivity standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must hold an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential; CIRCC/RCCIR certification is a plus.

• A minimum of 4 years of coding experience is required; specialty experience may be preferred based on specific client needs.

• At least 2 years of auditing experience is preferred.

• Extensive education and training in the 2021 and 2023 Evaluation and Management guidelines is necessary.

• This position involves a higher level of complexity due to the educational component in addition to auditing.

• Candidates should have strong E/M auditing and surgical experience, as well as the capability to provide education to providers.
