This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Carry out comprehensive forensic investigations of structural failures, collapses, and construction defects.
• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data to aid in forensic analysis.
• Apply engineering principles and methodologies to evaluate and address structural challenges.
• Create clear and succinct technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.
• Offer expert testimony in legal matters as necessary.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, codes, and standards pertinent to structural engineering.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) designation is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
• Experience providing expert testimony in legal contexts is advantageous.
