This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +3 more states.
• Oversees plan grid and heavy job tasks to ensure project work accuracy, while monitoring project costs to remain within budget.
• Prepares, reviews, and authorizes supplier purchase orders.
• Comprehends the owner contract and subcontract documents to identify inclusions/exclusions for invoice payment purposes.
• Validates, reconciles, and keeps precise quantities for billing and communicates discrepancies to project management.
• Recognizes out-of-scope work for the purpose of change orders.
• Produces drafts, manages, and maintains project submittal/RFI/logs for the lead project manager.
• Schedules, facilitates, and oversees Gopher 1 tickets.
• Schedules and leads private utility meetings, documenting discussions to relay information to office personnel.
• Prepares change orders, manages trucking logs, and approves invoices.
• Conducts on-site safety observations.
• Identifies, completes, and applies for local permits.
• Attends necessary meetings with clients, owners, and project teams.
• Cultivates and sustains positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, landowners, suppliers, and others.
• Develops and manages site-specific requirements regarding safety, cleanliness, delivery schedules, and related matters.
• Organizes and ensures the appropriate documentation and drawing distribution to staff and field personnel.
• Aids in the production and processing of project deliverables such as safety and QA/QC plans, along with test procedures.
• Assists in drafting subcontractor/P.O. agreements and ensures all agreements are finalized before work commences.
• Plans and coordinates the engineering deliverables from various stakeholders.
• Tracks production to generate project activity profiles.
• Collaborates proactively with project management, field supervisory, and client teams to identify and analyze potential risks and impacts on the project schedule.
• Supports job site operations to ensure facilities are functioning correctly.
• Aids in estimating tasks including but not limited to take-offs, solicitations to subcontractors/suppliers/bids, and preparation/running of quotes.
• Participates in business development events.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned by management.
• Ability to work with field concepts while also functioning in an office environment.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation, listening) with both internal and external customers.
• Effective motivational and supervisory abilities.
• Capability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world situations, including mean, median, and averages.
• Ability to adhere to all Veit policies and procedures.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting with a positive attitude.
• 8 to 10-hour workdays, Monday to Friday.
• Travel requirement of 80% to mission-critical job sites.
• Clean Motor Vehicle record is mandatory.
