Professional Consultant, SAP Technology – Security & Authorizations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with ongoing SAP operations as well as transformation and innovation initiatives, concentrating on SAP authorizations and security.

• Ensure the reliable and secure functioning of SAP system landscapes as part of managed services.

• Support and administer SAP systems, including ABAP, Java, and cloud-related components.

• Analyze and address incidents and service requests within the SAP Basis and authorizations environment.

• Create, modify, and enhance roles, profiles, and authorization concepts.

• Conduct troubleshooting and offer support on performance, security, and compliance matters.

• Assist with system copies, client copies, release upgrades, upgrades, and technical migrations.

• Provide guidance to business departments and key users regarding authorization-related topics.

• Further develop and automate operational processes.

• Design and enhance modern role and authorization concepts for SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation projects from inception through go-live.

• Evaluate existing authorization concepts and create future-proof target architectures.

• Implement security and authorization standards in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud initiatives.

• Advise on SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Joule, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, and SAP Identity Services.

• Perform compliance, audit, and segregation-of-duties (SoD) analyses.

• Collaborate with architecture, development, and business teams during the introduction of new SAP solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successfully completed a degree in business informatics, computer science, or a related discipline from a university, university of applied sciences, or cooperative education institution, or equivalent professional experience or vocational training.

• Several years of experience in SAP Basis and SAP operations.

• Experience in managing customer transitions and SAP system administration.

• SAP-certified technology consultant.

• Strong knowledge of at least two of the following platforms: Windows, i5/OS (IBM i, AS/400), AIX, and Linux.

• In-depth database knowledge of HANA and at least one additional database, such as DB2, Oracle, ASE, or MaxDB.

• Fluent in German and proficient in written and spoken English.

• Independent, team-oriented, meticulous, and structured working approach.

• Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new technologies and processes.

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for collaborating with colleagues, employees, and customers.
