Professional Consultant, SAP Technology – Security & Authorization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist clients in ongoing SAP operations as well as transformation and innovation initiatives, particularly focusing on SAP authorizations and security.

• Ensure the stable and secure functioning of SAP system landscapes within a managed services framework.

• Support and manage SAP systems, including ABAP, Java, and cloud-related components.

• Analyze and resolve incidents and service requests pertaining to SAP Basis and authorization environments.

• Create, modify, and optimize roles, profiles, and authorization strategies.

• Conduct troubleshooting and support performance, security, and compliance efforts.

• Assist with system copies, client copies, release upgrades, and technical migrations.

• Provide advice to business departments and key users on authorization-related matters.

• Further develop and automate operational workflows.

• Design and enhance contemporary role and authorization frameworks for SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation projects from planning through to go-live.

• Analyze current authorization frameworks and devise future-ready target architectures.

• Implement security and authorization specifications in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud projects.

• Provide guidance on SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Joule, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, and SAP Identity Services.

• Conduct compliance, audit, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) analyses.

• Collaborate with architecture, development, and business teams to integrate new SAP solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in (business) information systems or a similar qualification, along with relevant professional experience or vocational training.

• Several years of experience in SAP Basis and SAP operations.

• Experience in managing customer transitions and administering SAP systems.

• SAP-certified technology consultant.

• Proficient knowledge of at least two of the following platforms: Windows, i5/OS (IBM i, AS/400), AIX, and Linux.

• Extensive database knowledge in HANA and at least one additional database, such as DB2, Oracle, ASE, or MaxDB.

• Fluent in German and possess good written and spoken English skills.

• Independent, team-oriented, conscientious, and structured approach to work.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes.

• Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating with colleagues, employees, and clients.
