This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Ensure the precise and suitable collection of information into coding classification systems to fulfill the requirements of the department, hospital, and external agencies.

• Accountable for acquiring accurate and complete documentation within the medical record for correct coding assignments.

• Collaborate with both physician and non-physician providers to enhance correct coding initiatives.

• Tasked with analyzing and resolving issues related to missing charges and problematic accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its Equivalent.

• Current HIM/Coding Certification from ONE of the following organizations: American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

• Minimum of two (2) years of medical coding experience.

• Preferably two (2) years of coding experience in a physician office setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Ability to meet quality and productivity standards is essential.

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is necessary.
