This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform clinical coding audits as specified by client agreements for audit services.

• Contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of proprietary auditing tools.

• Act as the primary mentor and trainer for internal coding staff.

• Offer educational feedback and instruction to team members regarding coding protocols.

• Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for coders assigned to specific clients.

• Oversee the quality performance metrics for all designated clients.

• Monitor and uphold compliance with quality programs.

• Ensure compliance with State and National Practice Standards for coding.

• Serve as an official resource for coding-related inquiries from the coding team.

• Provide project status updates to operational leadership as needed.

• Track employee coding accuracy rates on a weekly basis.

• Collaborate directly with the coding management team to meet the educational requirements of coders.

• Offer coaching as necessary.

• Conduct internal coding audits accurately and in a timely manner.

• Execute audits in accordance with nationally recognized coding guidelines and standards.

• Provide insights and recommendations on educational topics based on audit findings.

• Represent the company through attendance and communication in professional meetings.

• Collaborate with audit peers, managers, coding staff, and the operations team.

• Maintain coding knowledge and act as a coding expert.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies pertaining to IKS Health.

• Guarantee HIPAA compliance at all times.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in coding Profee/PB and outpatient charts.

• Proficient in using Athena, Cerner, Epic, and 3M (TruCode preferred).

• AHIMA or AAPC Coding credential required: CPC, CPMA, RHIT, RHIA.

• Extensive audit experience related to professional fee coding.

• Experience collaborating with global or offshore coding teams.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.

• A high level of coding accuracy and attention to detail is required.

• Familiarity with multiple encoders and systems is necessary.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills – must be articulate and detail-oriented.

• Solid knowledge of Google Suite, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets is mandatory.
