ProFee Audit Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts audits of medical records and abstracts related to Professional Fee coding utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers along with appropriate coding references to ensure precise coding assignments.

• Offers detailed and succinct justifications for any changes identified, including specific references and documentation locations.

• Stays updated on regulatory modifications.

• Effectively organizes and prioritizes multiple cases simultaneously to maintain departmental workflow and facilitate case resolution.

• Delivers coder education through the auditing process.

• Operates in a professional, efficient, and positive manner.

• Complies with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)’s ethical standards.

• Must be focused on customer service while demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, reliability, eagerness to learn, commitment to excellence, and dedication to the profession.

• Engages in high levels of work complexity and decision-making.

• Exhibits strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.

• CPC certification (mandatory).

• CPMA certification (preferred).

• Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate.

• Familiarity with various software systems including Epic, Cerner, and other commonly used EMRs.
