This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver production support services.
• Assess, diagnose, and document issues and processes.
• Coordinate and communicate incident responses with support teams.
• Oversee nightly software data-loading operations utilizing server management tools and email notifications.
• Investigate and resolve errors and failure alerts from nightly processes.
• Record and assign incidents in the Service Desk system, documenting fixes and analyses.
• Interact with internal tier 2 support and external vendor support to resolve production challenges.
• Create documentation for processes and production jobs in Service Desk, SharePoint, and other platforms to build a support knowledge base.
• Engage in process development and enhancements.
• Evaluate process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Optimize systems and processes to enhance ETL performance.
• Monitor server health and performance during off-hours, covering Citrix, email, FTP, storage use, network uptime, security, and capacity metrics.
• Execute responsibilities in line with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Availability to work the midnight to late morning shift.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary, including potential extra days.
• Proficiency in enterprise solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server (2008+), Microsoft Reporting Services, or Microsoft Analysis Services.
• Experience with enterprise ETL applications such as Microsoft SSIS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server (2008+).
• Knowledge of SFTP protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange (2010+).
• Understanding of change management principles.
• Technical or associate degree, relevant certification, or progress towards such qualifications.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT departmental support or development.
• Preferred 1–2 years of experience with SQL Server Integration Tools (SSIS).
• Preferred 1–2 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database administration.
• Preferred certifications in SQL Server and Windows Server.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical abilities.
• Proficiency in SQL queries.
• Capability to comprehend, retain, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to understand and relay routine factual information.
• Skill in grasping complex issues and considering alternative solutions.
• Capacity to use common sense and make moderately impactful decisions.
• Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and accurate recording, balancing, and verification of results.
• Competence in following basic instructions and guidelines.
• Ability to draft basic reports and convey technical information verbally.
• Capability to communicate clearly, audibly, and promptly.
