Production Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee, alert, investigate, and resolve production infrastructure issues within public cloud settings (including GCP and AWS).

• Proactively identify opportunities and implement automated, scalable solutions to enhance code and operational tasks, thereby minimizing toil across the platform.

• Engage in incident response during critical situations, monitor alert trends, and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) to promote structural enhancements.

• Implement production change and security requests, expertly managing code deployments and patching pipelines.

• Collaborate closely with your team and cross-functional partners to align technical solutions and execution strategies with roadmap priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) focused on building and maintaining production-ready configurations at internet scale.

• Strong grasp of system architecture, distributed microservices, and self-healing systems that utilize resources and networks efficiently.

• Experience in executing containerized workloads using Kubernetes orchestration and Docker across various public cloud hosting services.

• Proficient in structural and automated scripting with object-oriented languages, with a strong preference for experience in Python and Go.

• Solid understanding of the modern web serving stack and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Linux, Nginx/Apache, MySQL, PHP, Ansible, Terraform).

• Practical knowledge in implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems (such as Prometheus or EFK stacks) to enhance infrastructure visibility.

• A proactive learner with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
