Production Engineer

📋 Description

• Deliver services and support as a Production Engineer within the Independent Engineering (IE) Advisory Services sector, focusing on Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation for Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration / Production) in the Energy Industry, particularly in Oil, Gas, Power, and Utilities, emphasizing RM | Risk Management Solutions for clients like the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the DOE Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program.

• Act as a Production Engineer in the Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation for Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration / Production) lane, providing bankable and technically sound Independent Engineering advisory services by translating discipline-specific engineering, construction, compliance, operational, commercial, and risk insights into lender-ready due diligence, monitoring, certification, and decision-support deliverables.

• Analyze project documentation, assess technical and commercial interfaces, identify risks and their mitigations, confirm assumptions, assist with conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews when needed, and create defensible work products such as production analyses, well surveillance, nodal analysis, optimization plans, and production forecasts.

• Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making for lenders and the DOE.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory, with a proven track record in oil and gas, power, utilities, or large infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical discipline.

• Preferred credentials include PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or other discipline-specific certifications where applicable.

• Skills primarily focused on Engineering Services initiatives, aligned with Program Support activities in Technical Due Diligence & Engineering Validation for Upstream Oil & Gas (Exploration / Production) Functional Area Activities.

• Required skills include independent engineering review, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) documentation discipline, technical due diligence, risk assessment, production systems, lift strategy, well performance, facilities constraints, operating metrics, data room review, information request tracking, report writing, Excel-based analysis, stakeholder coordination, and effective presentation of findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions.

• Competencies needed include technical judgment, independence and objectivity, analytical rigor, attention to detail, defensible documentation, client service orientation, cross-functional collaboration, issue escalation, quality mindset, schedule discipline, and the ability to convert technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications.
