This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary technical expert for specific product categories: chemical feed and laboratory equipment.
• Address daily technical questions from customers, sales representatives, and vendors.
• Manage documentation related to meetings, projects, schedules, data requests, and assigned initiatives.
• Deliver training to both internal and external customers on product operation, application, theory, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in creating detailed project schedules and coordinating activities across various project sites.
• Collaborate with outside sales teams to enhance product adoption, support customer needs, and develop future succession plans.
• Organize, schedule, and engage in project meetings, whether in person or virtually.
• Participate in lunch-and-learns, trade shows, conferences, and engineering presentations.
• Conduct site visits to support product installations and guide customers and vendors.
• Contribute technical content and expertise to the Pollardwater product catalog and marketing materials.
• Maintain information regarding product categories, including cost structures, selling prices, specifications, and positioning.
• Refresh website content with accurate product information, technical data, and new offerings.
• Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers and vendors, including negotiating pricing and fostering strategic supplier partnerships.
• Identify and assess new products, technologies, and vendor partners to broaden Pollardwater's product portfolio.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in MRO, utility, waterworks, industrial tools, safety equipment, wastewater treatment, water treatment, or closely related fields.
• Preferred experience with chemical feed systems, laboratory equipment, water treatment processes, or wastewater treatment operations.
• Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to comprehend product applications, specifications, and customer needs.
• Proven capability to troubleshoot technical product issues and communicate solutions clearly.
• High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and navigating various software platforms.
• Basic reporting experience with Excel, including sorting, filtering, and compiling data.
• Demonstrated skills in relationship-building, customer service, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to evolving business needs, and respond to urgent customer requests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in creating PowerPoint presentations and coordinating, facilitating, and leading both in-person and virtual training sessions.
• Preferred experience supporting product lifecycle management, pricing administration, vendor relationships, or category management activities.
• Willingness and capability to travel 10% to 15% of the time for trade shows, training events, and industry meetings.
