Product Security Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a team of product security engineers.

• Remain actively involved: participate in architecture, design, and code review sessions.

• Take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of product security systems.

• Define, manage, and oversee the team’s Jira backlog.

• Balance your team’s tasks among feature delivery, system stability, and security maintenance.

• Design and develop backend services using Golang and frontend components with JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Enhance engineering quality through observability, testing strategies, and CI/CD integration.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

• Communicate effectively and consistently with your team and leadership.

• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to expedite development processes.

• Manage compliance, security posture, and system quality for your team’s products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven engineering expertise across the complete software development lifecycle.

• Strong practical experience in Golang and contemporary TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Demonstrated capability to manage and prioritize team tasks in Jira.

• Experience in owning and balancing multiple competing workstreams.

• Significant experience in designing, deploying, and managing production systems in AWS.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).

• Proven ability to design and maintain API integrations.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships vertically and horizontally.

• A history of holding your team accountable for quality and delivery standards.

• Ability to work effectively with minimal day-to-day supervision.
