Product Sales Manager – Higher Education

📋 Description

• Meet sales objectives for designated products and territories, ensuring alignment with Clarivate's overarching business goals.

• Recognize and support new business ventures both independently and in collaboration with Account Managers, driving growth and enhancing market presence.

• Utilize product knowledge to create and present value-added solutions, aiming to increase deal value and effectively meet customer needs.

• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline in partnership with Account Managers, focusing on increasing deal size and accelerating sales cycles through effective sales and negotiation techniques.

• Establish and foster robust customer relationships through regular communication, outstanding service, and proactive problem-solving to ensure sustained customer loyalty and satisfaction.

• Work closely with Account Managers and other commercial teams to assist in product sales planning and execute sales strategies that maximize Clarivate's presence.

• Create and present reports detailing current and planned activities, customer interactions, pipeline status, accurate sales forecasts, and closing timelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement successful sales campaigns and new business initiatives.

• Continuously acquire and enhance relevant market, industry, and product knowledge to boost commercial effectiveness and facilitate sales success.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience.

• 5+ years of experience in research platform solutions, APIs or other integrations, custom data sets, reports, or a combination of these along with consultancy services to Academic clients.

• Previous selling experience and comprehensive domain knowledge of the US Academic Market.

• Experience with academic bids and tenders.

• Experience in higher education.

• Proven history of business development.

• Development of accounts through proactive prospecting.

• In-depth discovery to comprehend customer workflows and content requirements.

• Skilled in cultivating strong customer relationships with senior stakeholders.

• Consistent achievement of commercial targets in a complex sales environment.
