This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Concentrate on developing new business by identifying opportunities, creating target lists, prospecting, and collaborating with Account Managers on territory planning.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the PQIS and Books portfolio, encompassing primary sources, ebooks, databases, news, dissertations, video, streaming media, and multidisciplinary research content.
• Clearly communicate the value proposition of individual products and portfolio solutions to support the teaching, learning, and research objectives of customers.
• Evaluate priority opportunities and work with Account Managers to formulate and implement account plans.
• Establish relationships with librarians, faculty, collection development teams, and other institutional stakeholders to cultivate sales opportunities and foster growth.
• Lead customer meetings, product demonstrations, and strategic sales conversations.
• Oversee specialty product forecasting and ensure accurate tracking of opportunities, pipeline, and activity data in Salesforce.
• Manage pricing and proposal development in conjunction with sales leadership and pricing teams.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the wider Clarivate Academic & Government portfolio.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and data-driven insights to enhance productivity, account planning, customer engagement, forecasting, and sales effectiveness.
• Input leads and new activities into Salesforce.com for specialty products.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in leading demonstrations, training sessions, or presentations, effectively articulating value propositions for specialty products and addressing inquiries about product functionality.
• More than 5 years of experience in technology and/or online content sales.
• Previous experience selling to the academic library community.
• Experience in selling scholarly content, including databases, ebooks, primary sources, streaming media, and research solutions.
• Familiarity with academic library acquisition models, including subscriptions.
• Experience utilizing AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and achieve business outcomes.
• This role is eligible for sales incentive earnings.
