This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Formulation of global reliability strategies, qualification concepts, and methodologies, including the test scope, stress conditions, and sample sizes necessary to validate product reliability.
• Establishment and ownership of qualification plans specific to products, guided by application requirements, customer expectations, and industry standards like JEDEC, IEC, and AECQ.
• Specification of product-specific testing requirements and justified deviations based on global testing specifications and mission profiles.
• Evaluation and interpretation of reliability test outcomes concerning product performance, application conditions, and customer expectations, utilizing a structured approach for disposition and risk mitigation in cases of qualification failures.
• Analysis and comprehension of failure mechanisms, including degradation behavior, physics-of-failure, and their relationship to product design and stress conditions.
• Development and implementation of lifetime and acceleration models, encompassing wear-out mechanisms and extrapolation techniques.
• Definition of reliability concepts, decision-making logic, and best practices tailored to product requirements and global standards.
• Synchronization of qualification requirements with laboratory capabilities, factoring in feasibility, capacity, cost, and timelines.
• Close collaboration with Project Management, R&D, Product Engineering, Customer Quality, and Global Quality Labs.
• Involvement in project decision gates and reviews, offering reliability recommendations.
• Management of reliability KPIs at both product and program levels, including definition, monitoring, and continuous enhancement (e.g., qualification robustness, failure rates, lifecycle performance).
• Accountability for robust reliability strategies and programs throughout the product lifecycle, including new product development, change management, and ongoing reliability assessment.
• Consolidation and communication of reliability insights, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in semiconductor or electronic component reliability.
• In-depth understanding of semiconductor failure mechanisms, degradation behavior, and reliability testing principles.
• Strategic and organized working style.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
