Product Quality Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and prioritize backlogs (bugs, risks, improvements), ensuring that the most critical issues are addressed first.

• Lead the triaging process by organizing and ranking issues with input from QA, Support, Product, and Engineering teams.

• Convert product features into well-defined projects with clear deliverables and milestones.

• Validate and approve features prior to release, concentrating on core flows, usability, and risk management.

• Collaborate across various functions with engineers, designers, project managers, and product managers to provide high-quality experiences.

• Serve as the primary contact for quality standards, validation strategies, and testing expectations among teams.

• Maintain the cohesion, accuracy, and continual updates of internal product documentation, playbooks, and test case repositories.

• Facilitate product operationalization by integrating new features into tools, reporting, and internal enablement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in QA, product quality, or product ownership, preferably within SaaS environments.

• Strong comprehension of product lifecycles and testing methodologies, with the ability to embed quality throughout the delivery process.

• Proven experience in leading cross-functional delivery initiatives, influencing multiple teams or product domains.

• Ability to anticipate risks, identify patterns in recurring defects, and proactively implement solutions.

• Proficient in managing multiple quality backlogs while ensuring that the most pressing issues are prioritized.

• Capable of balancing meticulous attention to detail with a broader perspective, validating usability and readiness while supporting business outcomes.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing throughput by minimizing defect leakage and reinforcing release readiness.

• A natural collaborator and mentor, able to elevate the quality maturity of peers and cultivate a culture of proactive quality ownership.
