This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee and direct multiple technical projects within the School IT Services portfolio, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery in line with school-calendar schedules (start-of-year preparations, mid-year transitions, spring assessments, and year-end transitions).
• Create detailed project plans that encompass scope, schedule, resources, risks, dependencies, and milestones; collaborate with the Lead of School IT Services and Product Manager to convert the roadmap into actionable delivery plans.
• Identify and alleviate program risks, resolve issues, and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
• Ensure that program and project objectives are aligned with the larger business goals and strategic priorities.
• Act as the project management partner within the School IT Services 4-in-the-box team (TPM, Product Manager, Lead of School IT Services, and GTM), facilitating operating rhythms, decision-making, and accountability across the four areas.
• Work in conjunction with engineering, IT operations, security, service delivery, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on requirements, capacity, dependencies, and release timelines.
• Promote cross-team collaboration, open communication, and knowledge sharing to address dependencies and enhance overall delivery efficiency.
• Assist in managing external vendors as necessary to ensure their contributions align with program goals, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Clearly and concisely communicate program status, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior leadership, school leaders, and internal cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with the Lead of School IT Services, Product Manager, and GTM to facilitate release readiness, encompassing launch communications, training enablement, and adoption tracking to ensure successful implementation in schools.
• Create and uphold feedback mechanisms with schools and internal partners that contribute to ongoing improvement.
• Encourage effective team collaboration and communication, nurturing a culture of transparency and accountability.
• Drive continuous enhancements in project management processes, intake, prioritization, and delivery methodologies.
• Establish and uphold the 4IAB operating rhythm.
• Maintain delivery artifacts (project plans, risk logs, dashboards, status reports) that serve as a single source of truth for the 4IAB and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Project Manager, or in a comparable role within a technology-driven setting.
• Proven track record of successfully executing complex, cross-functional programs on schedule and within budget.
• Strong project management capabilities, with expertise in contemporary tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Capability to navigate and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience in delivering IT services or IT service management (ITSM) programs, preferably in a K–12, EdTech, SaaS, or service-oriented context.
• Familiarity with school operations and the timelines of the K–12 academic year (start-of-year preparations, testing periods, year-end transitions).
• Understanding of educational compliance, privacy, and security regulations (e.g., FERPA, COPPA).
• Strong technical foundation with practical experience in software development, systems engineering, cloud technologies, or SDLC/DevOps practices.
• PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project/program management certifications.
