This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Serve as the representative for business stakeholders within the Engineering Team for one or more functional areas, acting as the customer advocate and ensuring that customer needs, priorities, and constraints are considered in every decision.
• Collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to refine the roadmap and features for targeted markets, ensuring alignment with customer challenges prior to the commencement of specification work.
• Responsible for the market acceptance of solutions in designated functional areas while maintaining product integrity, salability, and maintainability, as well as ensuring overall customer satisfaction and positive commercial outcomes.
• Take ownership of all delivery aspects, including scope, pricing context, and customer-facing trade-offs.
• Manage and oversee the delivery schedule, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and transparent communication of progress, risks, and changes to customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with others to plan the commitments for product increments, supervise the development and delivery of features as per the plan, and provide the business with estimates for broader roadmap initiatives.
• Develop and manage the feature backlog, maintaining prioritization to guarantee the team focuses on the highest-value items while balancing business needs with technical feasibility and scalability.
• Establish clear acceptance criteria for each deliverable and approve completed work on behalf of the customer.
• Coordinate feature delivery with other agile teams, identifying project interdependencies and collaborating with Product Managers and Product Owners to determine the most efficient and effective delivery sequence.
• Negotiate and manage adjustments to scope, timelines, and commitments with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Lead Product Developer to balance commercial urgency with technical quality and sustainability.
• Prioritize and drive sound business decisions during the delivery of product increments, ensuring alignment with product strategy and customer roadmap.
• Manage defect queues for assigned functional areas in conjunction with client support and drive defect resolution with engineering teams in accordance with SLAs.
• Organize sprint reviews and presentations for key customers, stakeholders, and senior management to gather feedback and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensure that the output of the team aligns with product strategy and customer roadmap.
• May act as Product Owner for one or more moderately complex teams, depending on the needs of the assigned functional areas.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Product Manager/Owner with a track record of increased accountability and leadership.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Certification as a Product Owner from a recognized accrediting body (Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, SAFe, LeSS) is required; other agile certifications from the same accreditors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Familiarity with product management principles; Product Management certification is a plus.
• Knowledge in the procurement field is a significant advantage.
• Proven success in leading diverse teams with varying skills and backgrounds.
• Experience with client journeys and a demonstrated ability to synthesize process data.
• Ability to influence others and work towards a common vision or goal.
• Strong relationship-building skills, capable of partnering across functions and levels within the organization as well as with various personality types.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, maintaining a positive attitude and a robust work ethic.
• Understanding of change processes and how individuals navigate through change.
• Technical acumen with a solid grasp of broader business needs and strategy.
• Experience working within a large organization with numerous stakeholders.
