Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Define the scope and business specifications for the technology team from inception to launch, ensuring clarity and precision to minimize ambiguity before engineering commences.

• Manage the backlog: prioritize stories and features, oversee deadlines and deliverables, and effectively communicate trade-offs to the team.

• Create and refine requirement specifications, including user stories and feature acceptance criteria, to a level that engineering teams can confidently build from.

• Participate in and lead Scrum ceremonies such as refinement, planning, review, retrospective, and daily stand-ups.

• Engage with customers, customer experience teams, and subject matter experts to comprehend workflows and translate them into actionable requirements.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product colleagues to align on future enhancements and assist in the formation of the roadmap.

• Work closely with the QA/Testing team to ensure the usability and quality of developed tools.

• Interact across teams and product areas to identify backlog synergies and promote collaborative development with both local and global teams.

• Utilize AI and automation tools to expedite documentation, story writing, discovery, and backlog grooming, while actively contributing to the evolution of our development practices as new tools mature.

• Assist in product launch activities and create launch materials as needed, such as demos, user guides, release notes, and webinars.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a SaaS or technology setting.

• Proven experience working within agile software development methodologies.

• Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Google Suite.

• Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams across various time zones or regions.

• A background in telematics, fleet technology, or transportation tech is advantageous but not mandatory.
