This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Product Owner is tasked with executing the product development life cycle (PDLC) for designated roadmap elements.
• This role involves defining features before development, which includes conducting competitive research, collecting and documenting product requirements, and collaborating with UI/UX designers and software engineers to craft the solution. Additionally, it encompasses scoping and prioritizing features, formulating project plans, and composing user stories for the Software Engineering Team to implement.
• During the development phase, the Product Owner will address any questions from the Software Engineering Team and clarify requirements as necessary.
• After the development phase concludes, the Product Owner will assist with acceptance testing and lead the planning and coordination of the rollout.
• Throughout the rollout process, the Product Owner will keep internal stakeholders, such as sales and customer success teams, informed about upcoming product enhancements, and collaborate with Customer Success and Marketing to update customers.
• The role requires a clear understanding of customer needs by engaging with customers and prospects, gathering feedback from Sales and Customer Success, and reviewing feature ideas.
• The Product Owner will convene with customers and business stakeholders to gather product requirements.
• Collaborating with user interface designers and software engineers, the Product Owner will design and develop software features on the product roadmap that are engaging, exciting, and useful for customers.
• It is essential to communicate feature designs and requirements effectively to the Software Engineering Team through epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• The Product Owner must ensure that the Software Engineering Team has all the necessary resources at the start of each sprint.
• They will guide features through the design and development phases to guarantee timely delivery, following up with relevant parties or escalating issues as needed to meet deadlines.
• Daily interaction with developers is required to clarify and refine requirements as necessary.
• The Product Owner will communicate the release schedule and contents to the broader organization and customers.
• Collaboration with Customer Success will involve developing training materials and release notices for new features and updates.
• The Product Owner will relay the product development schedule to leadership, particularly regarding unforeseen adjustments to the planned timeline.
• Analyzing product usage data to assess feature adoption is part of the responsibilities.
• Conducting user acceptance testing is required.
• The Product Owner will prioritize defects and schedule work accordingly.
• A BS or BA degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Prior experience in business analysis or product management for a software product is essential.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment are necessary.
• Creative problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills are required.
• Familiarity with web and mobile development technologies is important.
• The ability to quickly grasp technical and business concepts is essential.
• Attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously is necessary.
• A solid understanding of technical requirements, specifications, and documentation skills is crucial.
• Enjoyment of working in a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative, and agile environment is expected.
• Familiarity with the agile environment and the SCRUM process, along with hands-on experience working with a team of developers, is preferred.
• Experience using Jira is preferred.
