Product Marketing Director, Velocity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product marketing strategy for Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Mid-Market segments, encompassing segmentation, personas, positioning, messaging, competitive strategy, and go-to-market (GTM) priorities.

• Create engaging, differentiated narratives that appeal to velocity buyers while aligning with Veeam's overall platform strategy.

• Spearhead integrated GTM launches and campaigns in collaboration with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, Channel, and Regional Marketing teams.

• Craft scalable messaging, sales plays, enablement, and partner content that ensures consistency across global routes to market.

• Identify market opportunities through customer insights, competitive intelligence, win/loss analysis, and market trends to shape product and GTM strategy.

• Collaborate with revenue teams to enhance pipeline creation, conversion rates, customer expansion, and competitive win rates.

• Establish best practices, measurement, and operational rigor to continuously enhance GTM effectiveness across Velocity segments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in B2B product marketing, GTM strategy, or solutions marketing, including several years in leadership roles within product marketing teams.

• Demonstrated experience in developing GTM strategies for SMB, Commercial, or Mid-Market technology enterprises.

• Strong proficiency in positioning, messaging, launches, competitive strategy, and sales enablement.

• Proven track record of successful collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, Channel, and Executive Leadership.

• Exceptional executive communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, with the capability to connect marketing strategy to business outcomes.

• Experience in data protection, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, or enterprise software is highly preferred.
