This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Spearhead the discovery, definition, and delivery of designated product features and enhancements across themes, blocks, patterns, templates, and associated website-building functionalities.
• Create product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and accompanying documentation.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog for designated areas.
• Deconstruct complex or unclear problems into distinct, actionable deliverables while identifying questions, dependencies, and risks.
• Provide client and market insights, options, and recommendations for roadmap and planning discussions.
• Acquire practical knowledge of WordPress and utilize the products directly to comprehend client workflows and usability.
• Keep track of competitive, industry, WordPress, and web development trends.
• Collect client insights from support interactions, community discussions, reviews, feature requests, conversations, and product data.
• Engage in client interviews, usability testing, feedback sessions, prototypes, beta programs, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Design throughout the development process.
• Participate in planning, refinement, review, and retrospective activities.
• Assist in release readiness, acceptance testing, compatibility, documentation, release notes, and support communications.
• Assess product performance post-release and suggest enhancements.
• Aid in pricing, packaging, go-to-market, and product launch initiatives.
• Monitor product KPIs such as adoption, activation, conversion, retention, support contacts, and client satisfaction.
• Support product instrumentation and reporting.
• Engage with support channels, community forums, and other client feedback sources.
• Represent the company professionally in relevant industry and community forums.
• Develop product management skills and assume increasing proficiency and responsibility.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Proven experience in product management or a similar role that involves product development, web development, design, technical support, quality assurance, project coordination, or equivalent responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience in building or managing websites using WordPress, including practical knowledge of the block editor, themes, and site or page design.
• Strong communication skills to articulate requirements, user stories, summaries, or other documentation clearly.
• Ability to organize ambiguous challenges into structured, prioritized, and actionable tasks.
• Effective collaboration skills with Engineering, Design, and other cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated capability to gather and integrate client feedback into product or project decisions.
• Ability to analyze and interpret product data, utilizing available information to back recommendations.
• Capacity to evaluate user experience and product factors, conveying clear recommendations.
• Eagerness to enhance knowledge of the commercial and business aspects of product management.
• Experience with the WordPress block editor, including block patterns, template editing, and site-wide design settings.
• Familiarity with page builders, block plugins, theme frameworks, or similar website-building technologies.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Awareness of web performance and accessibility considerations.
• Experience collaborating with agencies, freelancers, small businesses, or other organizations involved in website building.
• Familiarity with plugin or theme products, including both free and paid offerings, licensing, and product updates.
• Experience supporting beta programs, client research, product launches, or similar product initiatives.
• Active participation in WordPress, web development, design, or related professional communities.
