Product Manager – Specialist I, RGM and Demand Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• As a Project Manager I, you will take charge of the Artificial Intelligence and Data initiatives within the RGM and Demand platform. Your primary objective will be to ensure that both Traditional AI and GenAI capabilities are developed and effectively embraced by end users in Sell-in and Sell-out operations.

• AI Journey Leadership: You will map and enhance the user experience across all interactions with artificial intelligence in GPLAN (from demand forecasts to scenario simulations with GenAI), ensuring that the technology addresses genuine challenges in the planning process.

• Explainability and Trust (Explainable AI): You will work at the convergence of Data Science, Design (UX), and Business teams, ensuring that users comprehend the reasoning behind algorithmic recommendations, thereby minimizing bias from manual interventions (unjustified alterations to the machine forecast).

• Model Lifecycle Management in the Product: You will define the scope of AI deliveries in an MVP format, balancing the complexity of data models with delivery timelines, and determining when to utilize simple heuristics versus advanced predictive models.

• AI Adoption and Performance Metrics: You will establish and track data-journey-specific indicators, such as recommendation acceptance rates, improvements in WAPE (forecast error), bias, and reductions in planning cycle time.

• Alignment with Technical and Business Stakeholders: You will negotiate priorities directly with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists, translating the needs of planners into technical requirements and vice versa.

⛳️ Requirements

• Data/AI Product Experience: Demonstrable experience in managing digital products that are fundamentally based on Machine Learning, AI, or GenAI (AI-centric products).

• Technical-to-Business Translation: Capability to engage technically with Data Science teams (understanding concepts such as precision, recall, overfitting, and model training) and translate these concepts into usability and business terminology.

• User Experience (UX) Focus: Expertise in Discovery methodologies emphasizing data usability, with the ability to design interfaces that effectively present large volumes of information and predictions in a clear and actionable manner.

• Autonomy and Problem Solving: Competence in independently prioritizing complex backlogs and determining what provides immediate value to users compared to lengthy model development cycles.

• Previous experience in Demand Planning, S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning), or Supply Chain within the Retail or Manufacturing sectors.

• Practical understanding of Change Management strategies for products that transition manual operations to algorithmic automation.
