Product Manager, Smart Building Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Taking ownership of and prioritizing the roadmap for the Smart Building Platform, transforming stakeholder feedback and discovery insights into a definitive product vision that can be executed by engineering.

• Facilitating discovery sessions with facilities teams, implementation leaders, and enterprise clients to identify workflow challenges and confirm product direction.

• Composing integration specifications for BMS, IoT, and CMMS connections, possessing sufficient technical depth to guide engineering discussions.

• Collaborating with engineering to develop AI prototypes — utilizing LLM tools and MCP integrations to validate use cases before proceeding to a complete build.

• Proficiently employing AI tools in your daily tasks: creating initial drafts of PRDs, synthesizing research findings, conducting competitive analyses, and enhancing design collaboration.

• Establishing KPIs and success metrics for each initiative, and effectively communicating outcomes to product leadership and client stakeholders.

• Serving as the link between building operations teams, IoT/BMS engineering, and the data and AI platform organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Product Manager with a proven history of delivering products used by actual customers.

• Proven experience utilizing AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) in a professional product setting — demonstrating active, habitual use that enhances output quality and efficiency.

• Experience managing product roadmaps from conception to launch, encompassing design collaboration and engineering handoff.

• Technical fluency in data models, integration architecture, and REST APIs — capable of writing integration specifications and leading technical discussions independently.

• Comfortable functioning within an Agile/SCRUM environment, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.

• Exceptional written communication skills: producing clear, precise requirements documents, succinct executive updates, and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• A data-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to define KPIs, interpret usage analytics, and translate findings into product strategies.
