📋 Description

• Take full ownership of a specific product area, ensuring accountability by defining a 6-12 month roadmap that balances the development of new features, user requests, and addressing content debt.

• Advocate for your customers by representing their needs throughout all stages of product development, leveraging insights from customer discovery to identify quality gaps and proactively resolve issues to boost user satisfaction and engagement.

• Become the authority in your area by understanding the market, use cases, and capabilities of your product, while continuously monitoring performance in the field.

• Gather market intelligence by researching and communicating competitive programs, identifying gaps, new opportunities, and emerging trends that inform the ideation and design of initiatives.

• Transform strategy into actionable plans by interpreting the "north star" vision from leadership and breaking it down into specific initiatives.

• Conduct research on initiatives, develop concepts, and create plans to achieve product goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed quarterly release/execution plans with feature/task estimates.

• Extract insights from customers and the market that contribute to shaping the long-term product vision.

• Achieve results by setting quarterly OKRs in collaboration with your team and GPM/Director. Take ownership of feature-level key results, establish performance metrics for your features, and monitor progress.

• Utilize data to illustrate how your work impacts teacher efficiency or student outcomes, and adapt strategies when data indicates the need for change.

• Foster cross-functional leadership by building strong partnerships with Content, Supply Chain, and design leads to navigate technical, pedagogical, and UX challenges, ensuring the team delivers valuable and feasible solutions.

• Inspire your cross-functional team around a shared vision, grasp the business context, and work towards achieving set goals.

• Manage end-to-end product delivery by leading your team through all phases from ideation to launch and post-launch iterations. Own the requirements and prioritized backlog, making timely trade-off decisions, while being accountable for feature quality, product readiness, and delivery timelines.

• Drive product execution by leading and engaging in product development practices, ensuring that all blockers are resolved within 24 hours, and providing clear context and goals for cross-functional teams regarding sprint plans and features.

• Implement AI solutions by actively identifying workflows where AI can enhance teacher effectiveness, boost student engagement, or improve team efficiency, collaborating with engineers to bring these features to fruition.

• Communicate effectively by serving as the primary point of contact for your product area, offering clear updates to stakeholders across the organization regarding progress, trade-offs, priority shifts, and timelines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within EdTech, SaaS, consumer tech, or a similarly complex B2B2C environment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated history of successfully shipping features from concept to launch and iterating based on feedback post-launch.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Experience working in an Agile environment, with a comprehensive understanding of sprint cycles, user story mapping, and discovery methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• An empathy-first mindset, showcasing a deep respect for the challenges educators face today and a commitment to resolving them.
