Product Manager, Parcel Shipping Platform – Integrations

Posted Jun 12

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Standalone Parcel offering and its adaptable integration model (direct API, Stord-centric, and hybrid/customer-system flows).

• Manage the Standalone Parcel APIs and the Parcel Rating API that enables customers and other Stord services to obtain quotes without starting a label workflow.

• Oversee supporting functionalities that ensure the API is production-ready for external brands, including address validation and the manifest API for shipment visibility.

• Collaborate with the Commercial Product Owner, go-to-market teams, and the Director of TMS — bringing your unique product vision for the portal and APIs rather than merely converting requirements into specifications.

• Handle integrations with external TMS providers — Shipium (primary) and EasyPost (secondary) — encompassing integration roadmaps, capability gaps, and escalations.

• Lead the assessment, onboarding, and integration of emerging international providers as Stord expands its global presence.

• Manage vendor-account support, including bring-your-own-carrier and drop-ship scenarios that expand the brands Stord can support.

• Formulate the strategy to maintain critical business logic internally while utilizing external providers for their specialized functions (e.g., label generation).

• Supervise external tracking integrations (e.g., EasyPost) and evaluate additional providers to address tracking gaps, particularly on an international scale.

• Control time-in-transit as an externally-informed capability and the manifest visibility relied upon by brands.

• Provide a cohesive, reliable tracking experience across a diverse carrier network.

• Lead the integration of newly acquired companies (e.g., W2G, and future acquisitions) onto the Stord platform, in collaboration with Core TMS for any audit/rating modifications.

• Manage the exposure of TMS rating and charge data to other Stord systems, including parcel rates and audited charges displayed in the OMS.

• Oversee manifesting workflows that connect Stord to brands’ fulfillment processes.

• Act as the product relationship owner for external TMS, carrier, and tracking partners.

• Take charge of establishing relationships with additional providers for international growth.

• Represent Stord’s integration requirements in both commercial and technical discussions with partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience managing API products and external integrations at a significant scale.

• Understanding of integration patterns (direct, hybrid, system-to-system) and the ability to cater to customers with varying technical capabilities.

• Familiarity with carrier and TMS APIs and the challenges associated with integrating diverse external systems.

• Strong instinct for versioning, reliability, error handling, and the operational realities of running integrations in a live environment.

• Demonstrated track record in building B2B or platform products that drive revenue — preferably transitioning an internal capability to an external, commercial offering.

• Comprehension of how API-first products are packaged, onboarded, and adopted.

• Capability to align product decisions with revenue, margin, and go-to-market objectives.

• Knowledge of parcel carrier operations, tracking, and manifesting processes.

• Exposure to external TMS providers (Shipium, EasyPost, or comparable) and their role within a broader stack.

• Experience with or strong interest in international parcel shipping, including tracking and carrier complexities.

• Proven experience in managing external vendor and partner relationships, both commercial and technical.

• Ability to assess and onboard new providers using a clear build-vs-buy-vs-integrate framework.

• Proficiency in creating strong concept documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria, with comfort in a structured product-engineering workflow.

🏝️ Benefits

• Health insurance.

• 401(k) matching.

• Flexible work hours.
