This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of the roadmaps and oversee the development of the internal course-authoring platform as well as the consumer-facing interactive hunter safety course.
• Collaborate with content and curriculum teams to comprehend authoring workflows and convert needs into product specifications.
• Work alongside engineering and design teams to create and launch interactive, game-like course experiences that enhance learner engagement and completion rates.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI integration across content/course generation and personalized, adaptive learning experiences.
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver AI-enabled product functionalities.
• Establish success metrics for each project and consistently monitor product analytics to inform roadmap strategies.
• Partner with the Product Designer and Lead Engineer to develop story maps.
• Monitor project delivery in the project management platform.
• Provide weekly project updates and release notes.
• Manage project scope and resources to adhere to externally defined course launch timelines.
• Report to the SVP of Product throughout the one-year contract engagement.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management.
• Ideal candidates will have experience in both internal/platform tools and consumer-facing digital products.
• Demonstrated experience in owning product strategy and roadmap for at least one product or platform from opportunity identification through to launch.
• Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to sequence work and manage scope and resources through launch and iteration phases.
• Familiarity with LMS or CMS platforms and/or course-authoring tools like Articulate 360.
• Proficiency in defining KPIs, conducting experiments, and leveraging data to steer roadmap decisions.
• A genuine interest in how AI can enhance content creation and personalize learning experiences, along with discernment about its effective applications.
• Comfort in directly collaborating with engineering and design teams without formal authority.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• A background in content strategy, instructional design, or educational content development is advantageous.
• Experience in product design, game design, or game development, especially in gamified or game-like learning mechanics, is a plus.
• Practical experience with Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar authoring tools is beneficial.
• A background in edtech, SaaS, or consumer-facing digital products is an asset.
• Having a background in or a genuine interest in the outdoors is a bonus.
• 1-year, full-time (or near full-time) contract engagement.
