Product Manager, IP Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the multi-quarter roadmap and business case for Digital Envoy's primary IP Intelligence and geolocation data products.

• Convert market opportunities, customer requirements, and the product team's vision into a prioritized roadmap that engineering can implement.

• Develop clear and specific product requirements in collaboration with engineering and go-to-market stakeholders.

• Make strategic decisions regarding trade-offs (build vs. buy, depth vs. breadth, new capabilities vs. enhancements) that influence the product's future direction.

• Define pricing and packaging input for new features in conjunction with leadership and go-to-market teams.

• Collaborate with Marketing to determine feature launch requirements and assist in creating the appropriate collateral.

• Educate and train stakeholders across Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Tech Support on product functionalities.

• Work closely with engineering leads to convert roadmap priorities into well-defined deliverables, without managing daily sprint activities yourself.

• Collaborate with data science and data analytics teams to comprehend data quality constraints and incorporate them into the roadmap.

• Serve as the voice of the customer and market, anchoring every roadmap decision in evidence rather than opinion.

• Regularly update leadership on strategy, roadmap progress, risks, and trade-offs, acting as a trusted peer-level partner instead of a reporting layer.

• Maintain a close understanding of how customers utilize IP Intelligence and geolocation data through support tickets, sales interactions, competitive analysis, and direct discussions.

• Monitor competitive and market changes in IP Intelligence, geolocation, and related data categories, translating insights into roadmap and positioning strategies.

• Transform qualitative and quantitative signals into a roadmap that reflects genuine customer and business value, rather than just internal perspectives.

• Identify, define, and monitor key product metrics (accuracy, coverage, adoption, revenue impact) using dashboards that you create and manage, understanding which metrics are changing and why.

• Generate reports that provide leadership and stakeholders with clear insights into the product's status and roadmap.

• Uphold high standards for data quality and reproducibility, aligned with Digital Envoy's identity as a precision data company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management, with a proven ability to oversee a product's strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes from start to finish at a senior or staff level.

• Demonstrated success as an individual contributor product leader, capable of operating at a senior level without direct reports.

• Experience with data products, B2B SaaS, or infrastructure/API products; direct experience with IP Intelligence, geolocation, or network data is highly advantageous.

• Skilled in working with AI-enabled features and tools already integrated into the product, possessing a deep understanding of their capabilities and limitations to make informed roadmap and data decisions.

• Proficient in collaborating with engineering on delivery, effectively translating strategy into scoped, actionable tasks.

• Comfortable using SQL, AI tools such as Claude, and analyzing data directly to inform product decisions.

• Some familiarity with how machine learning and LLM-based systems are trained, assessed, and their potential pitfalls.

• Knowledgeable about data quality frameworks and semantic data modeling as they relate to geospatial or network data.

• Sufficient technical fluency to engage in credible, detailed discussions with engineers regarding system design and trade-offs.
