Product Manager – Data-Viz, B2B SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In the role of Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the "what" and "why" of all our product releases.

• Engage with customers, analyze usage data, create concise specifications, and collaborate with engineers to transform ideas into beloved features.

• Determine and prioritize upcoming developments based on customer insights, market trends, and business objectives.

• Craft detailed and clear specifications in Markdown to ensure engineering teams have a precise understanding of what needs to be built and the rationale behind it.

• Communicate frequently with customers to grasp their workflows, identify pain points, and comprehend what "mind-blowing" means to them.

• Collaborate daily with engineering and design teams to deliver products rapidly and iteratively.

• Assess opportunities for AI to enhance our product's intelligence, distinguishing between genuine potential and mere hype.

• Monitor product metrics, conduct experiments, and leverage data to validate concepts or discontinue less effective ideas.

• Take initiative to propel the product forward, whether through coordinating launches, addressing bugs, responding to support queries, or even brewing coffee for the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken English (mandatory); proficiency in German is a bonus.

• Over 2 years of experience in product management, preferably within a SaaS or B2B context.

• A genuine enthusiasm for data visualization, charts, and the art of presenting complex information effectively.

• The capability to draft specifications that engineers find engaging and easy to understand.

• Proficiency in Markdown is essential.

• Comfort in collaborating closely with technically-minded engineers, and identifying with that mindset.

• A curiosity for AI/ML and a practical understanding of how it can enhance product offerings.

• A proactive approach: you prefer to launch something imperfect and refine it over prolonged discussions.

• Bonus: experience with R, PowerBI, Tableau, D3.js, or familiarity with data visualization tools, as well as opinions on chart types like bar charts versus pie charts.
