Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Familiarize yourself with the current products, gaining insight into what has been developed, what is currently underway, and what is on the roadmap, thereby becoming the custodian of that knowledge.

• Collaborate closely with the Business Product Manager to gather business requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications for the engineering team.

• Take ownership of the Product Backlog by defining, prioritizing, and refining items with well-defined work breakdown structures, estimates, and acceptance criteria.

• Oversee dependencies across teams, monitor delivery progress, and proactively communicate any risks or obstacles to stakeholders.

• Create and maintain product roadmaps that align forthcoming features and initiatives with the available delivery capacity.

• Engage with ongoing features and initiatives that are already deployed to ensure they function effectively.

• Act as the daily liaison between the engineering teams and the business side to ensure alignment and unblock any obstacles.

• Assist the team in gradually implementing structured practices and delivery processes as the organization grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience in a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Delivery Manager, or similar role within a software product context.

• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and map intricate product ecosystems.

• Extensive experience in backlog management, work breakdown structures, estimations, and tracking delivery.

• Strong technical understanding of contemporary software development methodologies and delivery challenges.

• Experience in managing dependencies across various teams or workstreams.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders across both business and engineering domains.

• Practical experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for managing backlogs and delivery processes.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
