Product Manager – Data and Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Explore the less obvious aspects: delve into utility portals, renewable energy data, system configurations, tariff structures, and customer requirements.

• Gain expertise in the data provided by each utility: understand the available information and how we integrate this data into our product features.

• Create detailed, implementation-ready integration specifications that provide engineers with sufficient information to build efficiently, including critical edge cases.

• Collaborate with engineering during the development process, facilitating standups, addressing inquiries, and managing Jira to ensure development progresses without hindrance.

• Validate that the data delivered aligns with the specifications before considering an integration complete.

• Actively safeguard the current integration surface area: troubleshoot issues with live integrations, investigate failures or gaps, and prioritize necessary fixes with the engineering team.

• Work alongside Data Operations to recognize recurring data quality issues and drive long-term improvements, rather than just temporary solutions.

• Maintain the backlog for integration enhancements and bug fixes for the engineering team.

• Act as the company's subject-matter expert on our integrations and the data generated from them.

• Build and nurture relationships with utilities and third-party partners to collaboratively resolve integration challenges.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, such as sales and customer success, to prioritize our integration roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• A strong intellectual curiosity and initiative. Must be proactive, not reactive. A self-starter who seeks out answers instead of waiting for direction.

• Technical proficiency in all types of data integration, including ETL and various data formats encountered in practice.

• A proven history of fulfilling commitments, not just making promises.

• Recognized for producing specifications that engineers can utilize and documentation that aids operational guidance.

• Proficient with AI tools to enhance data validation, automate workflows, and facilitate rapid prototyping.

• Experience in the utility or energy data domain: billing, tariffs, metering, renewable energy, and utility portals.

• Must currently reside in the United States and possess the legal right to work in the United States.

• A minimum of three years of experience in a product role for a SaaS platform that aggregates data from multiple third-party systems.
