Product Manager, Crypto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a key cryptocurrency product from start to finish: trading and exchange processes, custody and wallet infrastructure, tokenized securities and real-world assets, or on-chain settlement and payment systems.

• Make informed product decisions in your domain by evaluating ROI, partner interest, market dynamics, regulatory limitations, and build-versus-buy considerations.

• Contribute to the wider cryptocurrency roadmap with an emphasis on B2B and B2B2C platforms — SDKs, APIs, partner enablement, and reference integrations.

• Draft product requirements and collaborate directly with engineers to deliver to production at the pace of a rapidly growing platform.

• Conduct discovery sessions with existing and potential partners — broker-dealers, fintech applications, neobanks, and institutional clients — to integrate Alpaca's crypto APIs.

• Convert partner feedback into definitive product decisions, including respectfully declining requests that do not align with the platform without overcommitting or jeopardizing partner trust.

• Enhance the developer experience for cryptocurrency: API usability, documentation, SDKs, and ensuring sandbox parity with production.

• Collaborate with compliance and legal teams on product decisions that involve licensing, custody, KYC/AML, market structure, and tokenization frameworks (the Crypto Lead oversees regulator-facing strategy; your role focuses on executing and delivering requirements effectively).

• Increase operational efficiency within your domain — reconciliation between on-chain and ledger states, settlement processes, exception handling — and take ownership of the relevant metrics.

• Provide timely and precise updates on product status and outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders, including partners and institutional clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, and/or launching startups, ideally in the realms of crypto, brokerage, exchanges, or financial infrastructure.

• Proven expertise in at least one core cryptocurrency product area: exchange/trading, custody/wallets, tokenization, or on-chain settlement, preferably with production-scale experience.

• Experience in developing and launching B2B and developer-centric products: SDKs, APIs, partner integrations, with a focus on serving developers and partners as primary customers, beyond just end-users.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, compliance, partnerships, and other product teams.

• Business acumen to navigate trade-offs between stakeholders and technology feasibility within time and budget constraints.

• Familiarity with AI-native PM workflows: regular use of tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, or custom agents for PRD drafting, customer-call synthesis, data exploration, and prototyping.
