This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acts as the internal system administrator for the Liferay environments, including development, QA, and production.
• Manages essential administrative tasks such as user account maintenance, workflows, and other routine responsibilities.
• Oversees Liferay data feeds and various integrations.
• Performs regular internal system audits and prepares for system upgrades.
• Serves as the technical lead for all Liferay-related projects.
• Conducts discovery sessions to gather business requirements for initial and ongoing development projects in Liferay, documenting and organizing them into features, stories, and tasks.
• Understands and documents both current and future state business processes.
• Translates business needs into requirements for a cross-functional software development team (currently an external vendor), making modifications and updates as necessary.
• Collaborates with various internal and external teams to understand clinical and operational data needs, ensuring that solutions are aligned.
• Develops and maintains the product roadmap that outlines product development goals for both the short and long term.
• Assists Product Analyst(s) in managing all help desk tickets and support requests related to the product.
• Aids in training new back-end users in collaboration with Product Analyst(s) as needed.
• Provides product-related data to business development teams.
• Supports Clinical Services in effectively loading and managing content.
• Facilitates testing of new Liferay functionalities and manages their rollouts.
• Supervises the creation of functional, technical, and system design documentation by external vendors, or generates it independently if not completed by the vendor.
• Assists Product Analyst(s) in delivering expert support to end users in managing system and process changes.
• Proposes and oversees the product budget.
• Manages relationships with external vendors and partners involved in product development.
• Ensures that solutions adhere to best practices and fulfill business requirements.
• Monitors and assesses new technologies and features, advising the company on their potential application to the product.
• Reports on analytics regarding platform utilization and functionality.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required).
• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred).
• 5+ years of product management or related experience may substitute for degree (acceptable).
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology (required).
• Experience managing digital experience or horizontal portal platforms, particularly on Liferay DXP (required).
• Familiarity with the Liferay DXP platform, including best practices and functionalities (strong plus).
• Experience using Liferay Analytics (strongly preferred).
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (preferred).
• JAVA programming experience (preferred).
• Experience with non-profit organizations (strongly preferred).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule.
