📋 Description

• Achieves a comprehensive understanding of the needs of customers and associates, both current and prospective, utilizing this knowledge to enhance enterprise products that deliver an exceptional shopping experience for Home Depot customers and associates.

• Converts business objectives and end user requirements into product strategy; conveys direction and product priorities to the development team, other cross-functional teams, and third-party collaborators.

• Defines goals, metrics, and analytics to assess product value; consistently makes recommendations and adjustments to the product backlog based on insights gained.

• Conducts end-user research to identify user stories and assist in determining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

• Collaborates with Finance to understand financial requirements and aids in developing business plans for new opportunities.

• Keeps an eye on research and the competitive landscape to suggest optimal solutions and ensure that products achieve or maintain best-in-class status.

• Analyzes research and market trends concerning industry innovations and technology platforms to propose the best possible solutions.

• Ensures that the product aligns with company goals, stakeholder interests, and end-user priorities to drive sales, enhance efficiency, and boost customer satisfaction.

• Documents, reviews, and guarantees that all quality and change control standards are fulfilled.

• Develops, tests, and refines assumptions and hypotheses via user research and testing.

• Creates, prioritizes, and accepts user stories; integrates them into release planning.

• Makes daily product decisions that generate value.

• Identifies advantages, disadvantages, challenges, dependencies, and value linked to features and enhancements.

• Engages in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demonstrations, and retrospectives.

• Simplifies complex technical concepts into accessible language for stakeholders.

• Promotes teamwork among members (Engineering, User Experience Designers, etc.) to drive value and collaboratively identify and resolve obstacles.

• Advocates for the end user and stakeholders by empathizing with user needs and becoming the domain expert.

• Regularly collaborates with the product team to evaluate progress, share lessons learned, and clarify next steps.

• Manages expectations of cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement product strategy; educates requesters to prioritize based on measurable benefits and/or user experience.

• Demonstrates active listening, facilitates discussions, and effectively communicates at all levels (Executive Leadership Team, store associates, etc.) and in various formats about the product's long-term strategy, which informs short-term actions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years old.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Experience as a Product Manager in a contemporary software development enterprise environment.

• Proven experience with modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies, particularly the extreme programming (XP) principles of paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment.

• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities frequently change.

• Experience in communicating with and influencing both functional and technical team members at all levels within the organization.

• Experience working within a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team.

• Experience in creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories.

• Experience in conducting user research and testing to ascertain needs.

• Experience in defining goals, metrics, and analytics to evaluate product value.

• Experience in performing competitive research and analysis.
