This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Develop and implement product strategy that aligns with business objectives and meets customer requirements.
• Create and oversee the product roadmap, ensuring a balance between innovation, modernization, customer value, and commercial success.
• Discover growth opportunities, strategic investments, and competitive advantages through customer insights, market analysis, and data analytics.
• Manage product features and functionalities across retail operations, including Point of Sale (POS), Inventory Management, Purchasing & Supplier Management, Customer Management, Loyalty & Promotions, Omnichannel Retail, Payments, Reporting & Analytics, and Integrations.
• Lead product discovery, requirements gathering, validation, launch planning, and adoption assessment to ensure that products effectively address significant customer needs.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of retailer workflows and operational hurdles through customer interviews, workshops, usability sessions, and feedback evaluations, converting insights into impactful product initiatives.
• Establish strong partnerships with merchants, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure product alignment and successful outcomes.
• Develop product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
• Collaborate extensively with Engineering and Design teams throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Engage in sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management to guarantee timely delivery and successful product launches.
• Assist in driving Retail Express modernization projects, including cloud migration, platform scalability, API enablement, and ecosystem growth.
• Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to balance technical investments with customer-facing innovations.
• Contribute to Maropost's broader Unified Platform strategy by identifying ways to integrate Retail Express with Commerce Cloud, Merchandising Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Da Vinci AI.
• Define and track product KPIs, customer adoption, engagement, retention, operational efficiency, and business results, using data to continually enhance product performance and customer experience.
• 3-6 years of experience in Product Management within SaaS, retail technology, ecommerce, POS, ERP, payments, inventory management, or related fields.
• Solid understanding of product management fundamentals, including product discovery, prioritization, roadmap creation, and execution.
• Proven experience collaborating with Engineering and Design teams in Agile settings.
• Ability to analyze customer challenges and transform them into practical, customer-focused solutions.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities.
• Data-driven approach with experience utilizing analytics to inform product decisions.
• Proven experience in writing product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong commercial awareness coupled with a customer-first mentality.
• Experience in retail operations, POS systems, inventory management, omnichannel commerce, or Accounting and Financial Systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with payments, loyalty programs, customer engagement platforms, or retail integrations is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud modernization or platform transformation initiatives is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI, automation, analytics, or workflow optimization technologies is preferred.
• Understanding of the Australian retail market is beneficial.
