This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Product direction: Take charge of backend product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization across the Platform, Access, and Security teams; facilitate the monthly roadmap planning discussions.
• Drive product discovery for backend initiatives — engage in research, stakeholder collaboration, and technical exploration to ensure the right challenges are addressed.
• Convert intricate government, healthcare, and platform requirements into clear user narratives, acceptance criteria, and well-structured backlog items.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders on technical trade-offs: API design, data modeling, integration strategy, performance, security, and compliance considerations.
• Represent the teams during the weekly MHV-on-VA.gov program standup, discussing progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
• Lead the all-teams sprint showcase every sprint — coordinate the team to deliver a live demonstration and create a polished, high-level presentation of accomplishments.
• Conduct backlog refinement to ensure the backlog remains well-organized, prioritized, and in alignment with current strategy.
• Act as the main point of contact for production incident communications to stakeholders and the wider program; proactively inform field teams of impact and status to reduce help-desk volume.
• 8–10 years of product management experience, with a significant focus on backend, platform, or API-driven products.
• Proven ability to lead product discovery and convert complex requirements into prioritized, well-defined backlog tasks.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the discipline to maintain a healthy delivery cadence — including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/showcases, and retrospectives.
• Experience managing recurring program-level activities (weekly standups, sprint demonstrations, monthly roadmap planning, stakeholder reporting).
• Experience in defining and monitoring data-driven product KPIs and leveraging analytics to inform product decisions.
• Comfortable serving as the point of contact for production-incident communications and stakeholder messaging during operational events.
• Proven history of collaborating with engineering on platform decisions — CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native services, secrets management, and security hardening.
• Experience working within multi-party delivery frameworks (prime/sub/sub-to-sub, or joint venture configurations).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at presenting strategies, trade-offs, and incident postures to senior government stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship and the capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits with a significant portion of the premium subsidized by IronArch.
• 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions dollar for dollar up to 3 percent, and 50 cents on the dollar for the 4th and 5th percent, featuring immediate entry and immediate vesting.
• 20 days of PTO accrued each calendar year.
• 11 paid holidays.
• Bereavement, jury duty, parental (maternity/paternity/adoption), and military leave.
• Sabbatical programs.
• Company-paid short- and long-term disability insurance.
• Company-paid life insurance.
• Optional life, accidental, and indemnity income replacement benefits.
• Professional development reimbursement.
• Health club reimbursement.
• Matching donation program and annual philanthropic activities.
• Pet insurance.
