Product Management Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify and pursue new business prospects in the areas of application performance and network security testing; create and deliver compelling business cases.

• Establish and uphold a distinct product roadmap that aligns with VIAVI’s CyberFlood product strategy, market dynamics, and customer needs.

• Act as VIAVI’s representative in the market—engaging with customers globally to showcase solutions.

• Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept and requirements gathering to engineering collaboration, solution launch, sales support, and end-of-life considerations.

• Partner with corporate marketing to design and implement go-to-market strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• 5–8 years of cumulative experience in product management, product line management, or solution architecture; at least 2 years should be focused on network security, cloud networking, or application performance testing.

• Strong comprehension of network security architectures, including SASE, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and cloud-native security functions (CNFs/VNFs).

• Knowledge of application performance testing concepts such as traffic generation, protocol simulation, latency/throughput analysis, and real-world application emulation.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities; capable of communicating effectively with C-suite executives as well as hands-on engineers.

• Highly collaborative, with the ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams both directly and through influence.
