Product Engineer – Remote or Karlsruhe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Identify and prioritize issues to tackle next, guided by data and direct community feedback within the strategic framework.

• Convert user challenges into feature ideas, encompassing objectives, functionality, scope, and UX/UI design.

• Execute solutions technically and incorporate them into the existing codebase.

• Utilize AI tools effectively, along with the ability to understand, evaluate, and enhance generated code.

• Ensure the quality of features through automated and semi-automated testing tools.

• Seek expert assistance when necessary.

• Launch functional versions, track their impact, and continue to develop them both technically and functionally.

• Collaborate with the team, executive management, and pertinent stakeholders.

• Document decisions and insights gained throughout the process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in owning features across product management, design, software development, and quality assurance.

• Hands-on experience in all four disciplines: product management, design, software development, and quality assurance.

• Proficient in at least one modern programming language.

• Experience in building and maintaining web applications and/or APIs.

• Daily usage of AI-driven coding tools.

• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Svelte, React, and TypeScript is advantageous.

• Ability to understand user challenges and create user-friendly solutions.

• Support decisions through feedback and data analysis.

• Capability to work independently.

• Initiative to seek help when required.

• Ability to communicate decisions and trade-offs clearly with the team.

• Proficiency in German at a minimum of C1 level.

• Good command of the English language.
