Product Engineer – Core APIs, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services utilizing Golang and Node.js to cater to millions of customers globally.

• Create, implement, and sustain REST APIs for integrations across various products, platforms, and teams.

• Engage with both relational and non-relational databases, focusing on data modeling, querying, and performance enhancement.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Marketing teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Utilize AWS best practices for scalable deployments, security measures, and cost reduction.

• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and review processes within an Agile/SCRUM framework.

• Recognize and resolve technical debt to guarantee system stability and scalability.

• Document solutions and disseminate knowledge to uplift technical standards across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development.

• Extensive expertise in Golang and Node.js (required).

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization.

• Proficient in API development and integration methodologies.

• Experienced with Git/GitHub workflows and collaborative coding practices.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3.

• Strong advocate for secure, efficient, and maintainable software solutions.

• Excellent communicator with the ability to clarify technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Inquisitive, proactive, and dedicated to ongoing improvement in a dynamic environment.
